There is also the quality of the components used (RCB,MCBs) as there was a "brand name" using lower quality component and some of the units were getting hot. With regards to the plug 16amp stamped on it just means its rated up to 16amp as its not a fused plug so is ok on 10amp as well
Our Sunncamp one is a few years old now and uses 2.5mm cable and decent quality components
