My 7kg calor bottle is getting quite empty...I'm waiting for it to run out then switching to propane(for the colder months)...Some one told me GO exchange calor for propane without hassle...Is this true? Or do I need to find an empty propane bottle to take to GO??
That's a good idea having a spare bottle ready to go when the one your using runs out...A bit more space used up though...And something else to forget to pack...Got to a site a few months ago to find I had left the gas at home 2 1/2 hrs away.....DOH!! Jelboy.
Calor have split their gas products into two groups. The rule is you can exchange your cylinder for a different one so long as its in the same group for more details see Here

at work they weigh them and work out how much is in them but i could not tell you what weight a empty one is sorry
As Micheal says (previous page), Calor cylinders have their tare weight stamped on an aluminium collar, only snag is I think they're still in pounds and ounces!

I noticed that. It seems weird to me that the empty bottle is weighed in imperial and then sold as a 4.5kg product
