Well its here, looks fab, and will put it up at the W/E.

They kept to the two day delivery which was amazing.

Just to be on the safe side I'm fabsiling the whole thing, I've seen one of those spray machines, so at the first chance, we'll be waterproofing it.

Mind you, I'd do that with any man made material no matter where I'd bought the tent.

there is no point getting the fabsil out as it only works on canvas not nylon and you dont need to use anything more than a plant spray bottle or a paint brush to apply

if you are worried just put the tent up and get the hosepipe on it but dont forget to seal seam first as i would asume that they havent dont that

Hi everyone

Could we see actual photos of these 'bargain' tents?  They all look good in the selling blurb, but real life can be very different!

Thanks

We must be fussy about our tents!!! lol!!

Delivery was certainly very quick.

First, one of the poles had the elastic snapped and was unuseable - emailed them straightaway and am still waiting for a replacement.

Got it up no probs but the material was of poorer quality and the zips werent as good as our Suncamp Penta -but again for £45 it was worth it just to see if we liked the layout and constant headroom in the sleeping pods. I did - hubby didnt............

Hubby doesnt like the way the roof bowed down in between the poles - we had probs with our Vango 500 for water pooling in the same set up in the porch and despite our efforts it leaked - he thinks this would have the same probs. I still like the Vario style but am bowing to him (he whinges a lot about leaks - the man should camp in a bubble!!!)

If you havent tried camping I think this would be an ideal starter tent just to get going - certainly plenty of room inside and nice and light - definitely a fair weather tent. We have sold it to my hubbys pal for just that reason and hes pleased with it - as he says its even cheap enough for a kids tent in the garden to play in!

Hope this helps.......

Thanks for your reply.

I think we'll leave it alone. Have been camping a couple of times with an orinary 3 pers dome tent from argos, but wanted more room. Going to Snowdonia this summer, and want a secure one, that can withstand wind and weather.

a friend got his and went camping at easter in all that bad weather, not a leak not a drop not a hint just normal condension inside. the tunnel tent has room for a bucket with lid at back and more private also storage tons of it,
one he got was blue and green with white pods with blue doors very light and airy inside with the windows up or
down, down side no hook for hanging light off, not enuff guylines, also we put extra eyelets in the gs around the door and bedrooms, and them mud flaps work a treat, out or in and under, but they are for out use really.
over all its a bargin at 45 quid and does its job well.

ps mm and hh are same thing hh - mm of a colum of standing water. 2000hh is 2 meters high, which = 2000mm or 200cm. rambling now

these tents have been reviewed before on this site - and proved unsatisfactory to experienced campers - but generally viewed as good tents for someone wishing to dip their toes in the exotic world of fair weather camping to see if they like it.
