Yes i know Thorgrin.......my daughter uses one but the sat nav software and gps reciever kits are around £130 for it (although i have found a few downloads on the net).

The problem i have is, i run a different Nokia and the carphone kit is not compatable with my daughters 6600. I also felt the screen on the 6600 was just a little small, although i have to say its a brilliant phone, just wish my daughter would let me experiment with it a bit more.........Its her property and Dads arnt allowed to touch it :)

The 6600 is great for GPS use with the TT Mobile kit. Screen is fine & the built in loudspeaker does the job. It runs the the same operating system as the Palm series so has all the extra software you could need. It tells you where you are supposed to be by when, how to get there & lets you phone to let them know you might be late . . . . you can also listen to music whilst you are delayed. great.

NAVMAN All the time it wipes the floor with tom tom .We use a NAVMAN 4410 gps together with a ipaq 3870 which both items were bought off ebay and came with full street mapping for sixteen european countries and dead simple to use. Hope this helps.

Version 4 TomTom products are the first of the “common platform” products, i.e. GO, Mobile, Palm, and TT HP Navigation 2004.

Version 5 products are all “common platform” so it’s an ideal opportunity to bring the numbering of all of the different TomTom products into line.

So, you will jump from TomTom Navigator 3 to 5 for the PocketPC.

Good site here for all thing GPS.

The Mio 168 is the same unit as the Navman PIN (Personal interactive navigation) Smart St work really well for me, lots of updates  online etc, 5 digit post code etc.. The reason i got this was because of good battery time when using it out of the car, eg, walking, or up the mountains off the road but you will have to buy O/S maps in digital format like the explorer. As you can't use road maps off road....!

Hi People,

Well as i work in IT and Computers i have had a PDA GPS System for a couple of years now from when TomTom came out in the shops. I am now using a HP PDA with a TomTom GPS Hardware and TomTom 3 Software, All with speed cams and points of intrest.

Anyone want any help on setting the pda up or where to get speedcam updates and warnings from and POI's then please contact myself.

If you have a new Smart Phone Mobile with Microsoft Windows Mobile then i think you can use Tom Tom Mobile software and a bluetooth GPS hardware.

On laptops you can get serial or usb GPS hardware and then use something like microsoft map point.

Please, don't buy the "safety camera" downloads: they are available for free from here

Pocket GPS are the best place to get the speed cams and POI's for free and they are updated every few weeks
