Well I have decided that £500 for a decent 6x4 with high sides is going to be tough, so it might have to be a credit card job. Just a mater of deciding which brand to go for (and avoid). Right now I'm looking at the Brenderup 1205 with side extensions.
There is/was one on eBay. 1205 high sides and abs lid. BIN of £1000.

I think we paid £550 for the 1150 with extension and abs lid off eBay. When we were looking they were all down South and miles away!

Just purchased the Boro Trailer through Ebay. Towed it home after purchase, travelled about 1 hour, no towing issues at all. 13inch wheels ensure it towed well empty, havnt yet towed loaded. Polish manufactured and imported it is fully galvanised steel with a non slip wooden base. Cost only £450 with jockey wheel and the high canopy extension which is bolted to the trailer base, a rear zipped canopy looks strong enough. Only fault ive noticed is the fog light is on the kerbside and reversing light is on the offside (to european spec), although I believe they are not required for this size trailer it will be easy to swap these round or disconnect.
Hi greggwiz.
That's a good size Trailer for the money, was that new or used.
Great spec at 750kg and 205cm x 110cm internal, 13" Wheel and "A" Frame is about as good as it gets for a non braked trailer.
I notice that onestoptrailers are doing them on EBay, what are the height of the sides on yours, there seems to be two sizes 27cm and 40cm that's a big difference.
You will get loads of stuff in there, although I would be tempted to change the canvas top, to some kind of hard top if that is possible.
I wonder if they do Side Extentions for the Boro Trailers.
Edit = just noticed that a firm is doing the Boro Trailer in Llandudno I guess that is the one you got, is it a one of or do they have more.
a definite bargain I would say.
I too have the brenderup 1150s with side extensions and more recently added an abs lid. Great trailer and would always recommend the 13inch wheels that these trailers have. You don't get the bounce about like the smaller wheeled trailers. Only thing is I manage to fill it and the back seat of the car and that's only myself and the two dogs Camping.!! 😊
Your welcome Francais, I suggest anyone who is interested and on a budget, go take a look. As you say, its a good base to work from, and for a few more pounds could be adapted to suit your individual requirements.
If you go to see the one I mentioned above, I strongly suggest you telephone the seller to arrange and confirm your visit, as they are at his house. He had 9 more available on Saturday just gone. 5 however were the larger, tipping type.
