Hi

We use the Intex Queen, best we've used for full camping.
We have plugged in Intex and inflated during really cold nights in past.

Pre the Intex we found the red/blue rubberised good and slept on a quilt as bottom with sheet and quilt on top.

We use various Thermarest SIM & inflate mattresses for backpacking.

One thing to consider for any airbed pumped up during day, warm air expands and cold air contracts hence beds going soft at night and towards morning.

Bad weather? Only if you have crap kit or clothing and a lack of imagination!

Absolutely! I think this is something many people don't consider, especially when using airbeds (any type) in warmer climates.

Years ago, we took our aerobed inflatable sofa to the south of France, got back one afternoon to find it had twisted out of shape in the heat. Even after letting some air out, the next morning it was saggy and - we thought - had deflated. We then twigged it was all due to the differences in temperature and why our airbeds needed topping up every morning, despite being pumped up firmly before we went to bed.

Nowadays, we use Thermarest SIMs, so have no such worries. They were a bit on the expensive side, but totally worth it. Not only do they not deflate (or expand!) but neither do they cause us aching backs.
