If your going the whole hog, I'd consider a second, or even a third battery to minimise the inconvenience.
I'd also look at a decent power inverter to wire in to the mains sockets so you still have 230V if you need it.
I converted to LEDs, and have a mix of cool and warm, all the little "mood" lights are warm, as is the one over the lounge, I opted for cool in the bathroom and over the kitchen where I feel quantity of light is better,
If switching to LEDs, SMD LEDs are good, but COB are better, COB is the latest LED tech, more light from less watts :)
LED strip is also available, self adhesive, so you would even add lighting where you need it easily.
