Personally, I would feel the cold under a duvet - all that air in there with me. Even in 'summer' I find a three season bag chilly and need my 5 season. But that's just me. Take the bags as well, just in case, then you won't have to worry if the weather turns cold.
We do not camp in extreme conditions and always take 2 duvets - one under the airbed for insulation, and one on top.
Like many others who have posted, I do not like the constrained feel of a sleeping bag.
Should I ever get cold, I can just cuddle up to my million degree menopausal radiator next to me! She really is not going to like me for spilling that one...

A single good quality sleeping bag is best, but a double sleeping bag doesn't work, so if you are used to sleeping together take the duvet, but remember a strange man in a padded yellow body suit may get between you.
We use sleeping bags as they take up much less room in the motor than a duvet does & find them a bit warmer but we zip both sleeping bags together so we have plenty of room to wriggle about when asleep
We switched from Duvets to wide square 3 season sleeping bags last year (Outwell Camper Lux) - best of both worlds since we can unzip these and open out in to a blanket in the warmer seasons. These are wide bags and don't make us feel restricted.

In what way do double sleeping bags not work?
Bigger the sleeping bag harder to keep warm, more air circulating in the sleeping. In the colder months, less suitable.
