I also said my choice would be the Calor 4.5kg i did not explain it was cheaper but that is the main reason

I do have both but use the calor more

when looking for an empty bottle free of charge then get any bottle from group A and then take it to a calor supplier and exchange it for a full calor 4.5 kg blue

Calor exchange Policy

My apologies, you did say that, I missed that bit!

having just bought a new to us Folding Camper, with two Campingaz bottles in, one empty, the other on it's way there, I really was shocked at the cost of refills. Having a nearly full 4.5kg calor knocking around, a quick regulator change will be so much easier on the pocket

We have both calor & regulator and the campingaz & regulator. We use the calor in England and may use the campingaz if/when we go abroad (they don't seem to have calor on the continent).

Can I ask why you recommend the 4.5kg calor bottles and not the 7kg ones? I always use the 7kg because they're quicker/easier to disconnect from the cooker.

The only issue is the physical size of the bottle for transporting, which might be why you recommend the 4.5kg ones?

mainly size and weight, I have a blue 7kg which i have never used as i feel it is a bit big to go in the car

when i was taking the trailer it would easily fit in the corner of the trailer but i stuck with the 4.5 kg as it is easier to transport

Thanks, yes that is a fair point. We've just switched form a FC to Vango tunnel tent. I do have a trailer so can take the 7kg one but if space becomes an issue it might be worth downsizing to 4.5kg
