Thermal transfer paste. It should have it applied on the underside of both heatsinks to be effective. It could make the cooler perform really bad if it had insufficient amounts.

Bear in mind that the larger Tropicools can only chill to 30 deg C below ambient.
Therefore, it will not be suitable for high summer in the south of France or the Med!
One would definitely need a compressor cooler for such high temperatures.
It is hot for me now, with day time maximum at 23 deg C, and I went out to walk the dog after 23:00h and it was lovely.

DK yes thanks, something to consider, and although I love the sun I'm not keen on it extremely hot, especially camping. I think mid 20's is where my enjoyable limit is, but then again it's good to be guaranteed the nice weather ( ok nothing is ever guaranteed).
Not sure if we'll ever manage a camping holiday in south of France, we don't always do camping as our main holiday, prob be an odd year here and there, mainly a few weekends, or a 4/5 night here and there.
Thanks Gareth29. We have ordered some of that paste, only a couple of quid so worth a try. Estimated delivery, next Tues or Wed, so should be good, as we don't leave till Thursday afternoon.
