Ah but what's 10 minutes when you want the other half out the way after you've argued when putting the tent up?!!
My delegating problems are far more serious than that. I send her away while I unload the car, put the tent up, chuck in the SIMs, assemble the camp kitchen, put the stove and plates away then put up the tarp.
I'm making some progress, I let her take the sleeping bags out of their sacks and put them on the SIMs.
Kippen bender, while you're being sexist here don't forget to comment on how you 'allow her to make the cups of tea and dinner'!!
We both do the tent assisted by children (and pegs and mallet). They each do their roll mat and sleeping bag. I'm not allowed to do the airbed (pump is a machine therefore man must do it!) And the kitchen unit and table need putting together either him or children.
I get to unpack the car and make the dinner and do the toilet visiting (each child seems to want to go at a different time).
Frizz Le, fair comment. Perhaps 'send her away' wasn't an entirely accurate description of events.
However, the fact is I generally prefer to set up camp, fix the car and mow the lawn on my own. Similarly my wife won't let me near the dishes, the ironing board or the washing machine. In recent months I've also lost possession of the remote controls.
I'm not making this sound any, better am I? Perhaps I should stop digging now.
Haha best thing is when I say send the other half away, I mean my husband so I can get on with stuff!!
I tweeted Aldi about the stand who asked me to ring customer services. I did and she said it obviously wasn't a well thought advisement and that with the instructions she would probably advise against using it with a cooker. However, she said it was up to me and that she thought it would be fine if someone was with it.
I'll be using it as I don't forsee a problem if used correctly. But I'm still a little confused that they hadn't thought it through.

Kuppenbender, please tell me you wash cars too. Mr F doesn't seem to be able to... He can wax, polish etc and take many hours about it.
Not as often as I should, but I have high hopes of my son assuming responsibility for that when he starts secondary school.
The car's as old as he is, and I've told him he can have it when he's old enough to drive, if he keeps it clean.
I bought two the other day one for me and one for my mate and we built them both the other night and they were fine
they were rock solid and a great bit of kit and i will be using it next week instead of my folding unit that is now about 10 years old and starting to show its age
Frazzle..when i put ours up yesterday I only opened one of the boxes with the hinges...not realising they were different so ended up putting the top hinges on the bottom...then i opened the other box and found the adjustable feet! Do you think your hubby made the same mistake?
I bought one of these and tried it out at home tonight ahead of our first camping trip this weekend, seemed easy enough to assemble and very sturdy. Just wondering do people tend to leave these type of units outside all the time or move them inside or under gazebo?
We used ours recently in our awning with no problems. Was sturdy but found the canvas smelled of mushrooms! Didnt cook on it just used for food storage and it kept out the ants.
well i can say that after a week of use as a cooking stand ours was fine, it was used with two single burner stoves side by side which you are not supposed to do on an aldi cook stand that you are not recommended to cook on, so i broke all rules and had no problems
the cook stand was rock solid and i was not in the least bit concerned about cooking on it, if anything it was far steadier than the gelert folding cook stand that i used to use
