Just a thought - how long have you had your sleeping bags? I've read that their effectiveness can reduce with time and use. Also a person's age can be a factor in keeping warm so you may have to make adjustments to your sleeping set-up as the years go by.

Thanks Gingerfifi for sharing. We have camped all year round for years and almost never been cold for long. We must be getting old cos my hubby felt cold for a long time on our last outing and that is unusual. He works outdoor most of the time and doesn't generally feel the cold. I have not got the fleece underblankets yet but this is the order we are going with bottom to top:-
Footprint
SIG
Sleeping pod groundsheet
Picnic blanket

Roll mat
Airbed
SIM
Fitted Fleece underblanket (in place of our usual sheet)
Sleeping bag
Fleece or wool blanket over the top

I am confident that should do the trick. There is no hope for me cos I am always cold although I do not feel it myself. Hubby is convinced I am not human and calls me Zanussi!
