My favourite item bought this year is the 6m x 2m canvas tarp even if it has got a bit of mildew staining on the seams now

But the bargain of the year that has yet to be tested out (although was seen fully working) was our coleman 424 dual fuel stove for £20, maybe after I have used it a few times it will become a favourite item.

Well, not a 'buy' as such, more a 'win': a new Coleman camping light won from Camping magazine's publication of the photo of my SIL enjoying her very first camping trip at the age of fifty er heh something.

You can't look a gift lantern in the eye

Haha, some great posts. I like the idea of a folding aired for everyday use as I live in a tiny flat ( I sometimes thing our tent is more roomy!)

I bought from Asda, aa fold down square box Bbq, its fab. Cooks food well, can be used as a small fire pit. Someone bought one and cooked using saucepans, very versitle.

For a Birthday prezzie, maypole power pack. Has USB port, cigarette socket great for recharging and running small electrical items. I bought an inverter, so I can used low wattage items, even a small t.v.

I think it was this one

They do one similar in Dunelm

A friend bought one too, but don't think it made it as far as her caravan as she uses it so much at home. She loves it too.

I've just seen something very similar in home bargains for £29.99.

For me it was the clip on cup holders from Winfields, like a giant clothes peg with a hole in. They were £3.25 each if memory serves, and we got 4 of them. Useful for emergency pegging of washing, stopping colouring books blowing away, hanging up all manner of stuff from coats to rubbish bags, they even come in handy for holding a cup!

I just bought a Cobb BBQ, 'kitchen in a box' using a discount code for 25% off, only valid for halloween day, I think that's gonna be my bargain of the year, But my best purchase would be the Disc-o-bed bunk beds I bought, large, super comfy and give me loads more room in my tent.
If its still the 31st October, the code is HAL-15 for anyone that's in the market for a Cobb.

Our best purchase this year is the caravan!
Rachel

Ditto rachntex. After many years of camping, trailer tents and a folding camper we took the plunge in February and bought a new to us Compass Kensington 360/2. Had a wonderful time in it this year and looking forward to many more years.

Although we didn't buy it, it was a caravan warming gift from our best friends who have had a van for years, the best thing we have had this year is our Isabella shadow sun canopy. With a couple of windbreakers it sheltered us completely. Even in the worst weather and was as good as an awning with the added bonus of still being able to people watch
