Yes Softguy, that is my view too.

However my 3 like to watch a short programme, say Kung Fu Panda, of 20 mins before bed when camping. Also Mr F likes to check out things to do, Sunday carvery's etc. It does keep them all happy.

Lidl special this week is a powerpack,I have similar ones we use for our kindles and phones in france, like you we have no vehicle to use to charge as we are on motorbikes, and I charge it in the toilets...Love the fact toilets in france have sockets...but like others say Im sure reception would recharge it for you, also I have a small one that I plug in one of those very cheap usb bendy led lights into and it malkes a brill book/table light, lasts forever, havent bought a battery for years

to this:

and all is well

a 13a high capacity mains charger too would be handy many camp sites have random sockets in wash houses

with a few powerbanks knocking about

couple of these

and you will have plenty of light too
