You can always get a 12v pump for all your inflatable clobber. Or two if you've got a couple of sockets in your car.

That's a good start in theory. But unfortunately it's not just the cost of purchasing the EHU Lead. For the privilege of having a power source merely to pump up the beds/furniture during the first hour or so of the holiday, you'd be paying an additional £4 per night, on average, for the duration of said holiday.

That's very true & a good point. In colder weather, a wee oil radiator heater is great - but again, it takes space in the vehicle.

We do both with and without, generally if we are taking our big tent we take the ehu, if we take the small tent we don't..

Definitely worth while though, you won't look back when you have one

All we seem to use ehu for is the pump and for charging phones and headtorches. We do have battery packs and a manual pump if off grid.
Abroad, we use it for fridge and lighting.
