IF memory serves IF you can give the manufacturer a valid Key number they will furnish you with a replacement swiftly. Other than that to remove it will either damage the lock fatally or damage your caravans alloys seriously cosmetically.
For the record I still use the Nemesis. NOTHING will pursuade me to use that Crypton Factor Test made by Alko which was supplied with my van. It is and always will be in its zippy case. More chance of hell freezing over than me every using that damn thing.
Must admit I don't know how anyone can get through The Krypton Factor if they don't have a mover fitted, I found it just okay to do. But did notice on my last van that the lozenge backing had scuffed the alloy, it needs a thin piece of foam on it.
Our new van does not have the ALKO receiver so I had to get a Wraith for it, now that's a doddle.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Haha this made me laugh. Couldn’t agree more worst thing ever and stupidity expensive.
In reality, all devices are quite easily removed all this sold secure stuff just retailers hype. Any discount you get on the insurance is wiped out by buying expensive security stuff.
Bit like tracking devices why would I want my caravan back after someone stole it? It’s insured I’ll get another one.
I always find it confusing when people talk about the difficulty of fitting the Alko lock unless they have a twin axle caravan (in which case I completely understand the issues with lining up the receivers on both wheels). However, on our single axle the lock is on in seconds. We always use the motor mover to get the caravan into our very narrow storage space, reversing it in is not an option due to the tightness of the space and the fear of clipping the neighbouring van, so when it is almost in place I take a quick peek at the wheel and move it the last few inches to ensure the receiver is in the right place and pop the lock on. I find it much simpler than any other wheel clamp we have used.
I think like you Pixie, the Alko seems no real problem for myself, unless on a sloping pitch. I have thought about getting a smaller lozenge or a Nemisis or Wraithwhich will fit when I am a touring pitch. Otherwise I just fit an old Scissor clamp.
Used the alko since 2009 and never a problem if you have a mover fitted. I obtained a long bolt off Ebay and sawn the head off. Just screw loosely with fingers in the receiver and slip the lozenge on it. Move van with moover and when lined up lozenge just slips in. Remove the locating bolt and fit the Alko. Less than 5 minutes fitted.
