Well its now tried and tested-indoors atleast:
The bag itself seems a lot thinner than I would imagine a 340gsm one to be and to be truthful I expected it to be sweltering indoors, but it wasn't. We were nice and warm in it on top of the bed with a nice thick duvet underneath and the central heating turned low but in the background so I imagine it is gonna be bloody cold in the tent?!
The built in pillows are a nice touch but hardly worth bothering with, and the zips on each side are good to have but unzip themselves with the slightest movement. There are 2 straps at the bottom of the bag which when rolled up compress the bag to get it into the compression sack. The sack itself has 2 more straps to further compress the whole lot a little more-a good point me thinks.
All in all its not what I expected and doesn't really convince me its going to keep us that warm-it has some nice touches but I think we'll have to take a duvet as well, which was the whole point in getting a decent sleeping bag for in the first place so we don't have to take a cumbersome duvet!!!
And to top it all-we can't really take it back for a refund cos we have slept in it!
Bugger!!!!
