I have been monitoring them. The Camping and caravanning club discussion has moved on to other things. I cannot get to the caravan club one as I am getting a "server error page not available"

There have been a few issues on the Club Together forum but you can get through eventually. (This is probably a back handed compliment to UKCampsites but in all the years I have been a member I don't recall it ever being down?) Its not that usual to end discussions as they can often be useful to other people. You can of course contact admin of any of the forums to make that request but as I say unlike Facebook the original poster doesn't usually have the power to close topics as far as I know.

We had a similar aerial on our motorhome with a fibreglass roof, simply solved the magnetic problem by glueing a large steel penny washer to the roof.
Easy to fit, cheap on the wallet and as its on the roof it doesn’t look wrong.

In the days of CB radio if you wanted to use a mag-mount car aerial indoors the best option was to put it on a metal biscuit tin.
So put the biscuit tin and aerial on your caravan roof, weigh it down with stones or scrap metal to stop it blowing away, but to remember to remove it before you move on.
