I am following this and other threads about gas cylinder and issues with Calor with interest.
I don't like to use LPG and spec'ed my van to run on diesel (heating and hot water) and electricity (immersion heater as back-up, air con including heating mode if required, induction hob and oven).
I am due to go off-grid without EHU for a couple of nights later this month, wish me luck!
And good luck to everyone with their gas-related issues - I hope they will be resolved soon enough.

If we were in a position to use our caravan more than we do I think I would go all-electric. As most sites charge £3 a night or more for electricity, and we only pay around that at home in winter for electricity and full gas central heating, much less in summer, I now try to make as much use of it as possible. We never use our caravan's gas heater, if it's going to be chilly at night we use a convector heater, and as our gas water heater packed up last year I have now installed an electric one.
We only used to use electricity for our fridge and battery charger, and it really came home to me how little electricity we really use in the caravan when we went on a site with metered electricity. On that site we paid £2.80 for a whole two weeks!
