We nearly spent £1700 on a couple of folding e-bikes to save walking from the van to the music arena last weekend. Is that 'comfortable' enough. As for fairy lights and bunting. Just cannot compute carting/setting out this sort of stuff.

I would say invest in a good bed set up. Camping bed with a self inflating mattress, proper duvet/pillows and a hot water bottle, really does make a huge difference. Also means more space underneath to store things out of the way. We invested in a Orland log stove, helps to keep tent snug, great for coffee pots/kettle/casserole/pizza too. Also looks nice and has the storage box can be used in tent as a small table if you pop an oilcloth or blanket over the top😊 To help with unpacking, we ended up getting two wooden boxes from IKea that we pop gear in, slide easily in boot of car, store well in the garage for the next trip and act as either seats/bedside tables in tent. Bit heavier than the collapsible ones but have lasted ages. Also we ended up getting a lighter circular plastic type carpet for the bell as the coir ones are so bloomin heavy. The amount of comfort/ambiance depends on the size of your boot/trailer and how much time/effort you want to spend on unpacking and packing up. It can take ages to faff about -less time for relaxing and having a drink or two 😊

I guess the OP is away camping or glamping, hopefully with the benefit of some of the ideas posted here.

I apologise for any offence I may have caused you by not replying to comments.

I have been in the USA for the past month so please let me say to everyone who has posted thank you for all your input. Everyone's suggestions have all pretty much been in line with what I have been thinking to use/ purchase for my camping trip this coming weekend.
