i can't say we've ever put anything under the SIG...and we've never had a problem.!

We do have a cheap 'doormat' though...but that's just to stop mud and grass being walkied into the tent.

Picnic Rugs here too, and a couple of fleece throws (cheapo in Asda and HUGE).  Have to keep straightening them up tho as slide about, but small price to pay for nice warm tootsies of a morning.  (and extra layers on hand in case of cold nights)

We take 3 thin rubber backed rugs.  They can be moved around as necessary & rolled together to fit in the roofbox.

HAve to say its 2 picnic rugs with waterproof backing for use too. We got them from tesco for about £4.99 each
