Cheers Folks.

No I am not a hammer fan. I'm a Maiden fan!!

Nice one best band in the world if you like Maiden have you heard any of Blaze   www.planetblaze.com his solo stuf is awsome   nip in to the fourm as we have our own camping group the BBC (Blaze Board Campers ) a few of the blaze mob are on here too

Not too keen on blaze I'm afraid. Always preferred Brucie.

Can't wait for the new dvd to come out, though.

Just got back from a rather windy (gale force), atlantic coast sand dune site, and was really pleased that the young salesman from Millets advised me to purchase some bright yellow plastic pegs for soft ground. He said that these would stay in the sandy ground better than the steel pegs we had. Boy, how right he was. The tent didn't budge but the two next to us had pegs flying out left right and centre.

As we are new to camping (this was our first trip) I searched the internet for this site and have to admit that that all the info I have read has really helped us out. My 9 year old son and I are already planning our next trip for half term and can't wait.

Camping is great, I wish I had done this eariler!!!

when we got our awning it came with those ridiculous  " v " shaped pegs, we put those away and replaced with the rock pegs, they will go in any type of ground, and to be honest hubby keeps telling my, remind him on to bring the claw hammer to get them out next time! we got ours from ubc in gosforth 30p each, i will not be letting this lot go like i did when when we sold the folding camper!

We havae just spent 9 days at Cofton Holiday Village and for 2 nights suffered 45mph gusts of wind, we were on top of the hill. I used delta Anchor Pegs on the majority of guys for our Diablo and 4 delta pegs on the gazebo.

None of the pegs budged. The stiching on the gazebo looked a little stretched though.

They were a bugger to get out on places.

Recommended.
