Hi

The second burner is not as powerful as the main. It is "slaved" to it - ie you can have on burner 1, or both burners, but you can't have on burner 2 alone.

Ideally, it is used for simmering whilst the main burner is for boiling. What you'll find is that keeping up the pressure (a couple of pump strokes every now and then) will keep both burners burning well.

I can't agree enough with the comments about the Coleman filter funnel - get one, it keeps the fuel free of debris, and alows you to fill the tank to the correct level so that there is enough airspace to allow best pressurisation

Hi, also got a griddle plate (JML) from Woolworths for £5 last week.  This is great for steaks, bacon & eggs.. even toasted rolls.  it's a tad too big for top of the stove but works very well if you employ a couple of bulldog clips.  at the front to stop if sliding forward.

Thanks again all,

it definitely came with a funnel/filter thing (Red) which we used with no problems last night, so that is a relief.

I also didn't have any problem puring fuel from the jerry can into the funnel, I purposely only put 3 litres in the jerrycan, and as it comes with a bendy spout, I was able to regulate the flow with ease - the emptier it gets, the easier this will be also.

We have a kind of griddle from M&S, so will be taking that, but if I see one for £5 may well bag one.

Cheers

Dan
