Warning re DEET on clothes!!

Do not put on technical type outdoor clothing or tents! It melts certain fabrics!!

Just think what it does to your skin. I agree that it is one of the more effective products, if you keep it away from eyes, mouth (tastes foul) and material as above.

DEET is highly corrosive. It EATS plastics. Think what it is doing to your skin!

I use Mosi-Guard. It's just as effective and is made from naturally growing anti-insect plants. You have to remember to keep applying to the places you sweat (sorry - where ladies glow) like forehead, nose and so forth every couple of hours or so.

If you want to do them some damage with your canoe, tent and so forth them spray it with Permethrin. You can buy it for mozzie nets. The little blighters fall off dead.

I've never taken the Avon Skin So Soft route in case a sailor follows me back to my tent!
