Can you stop me worrying. I want a combi/mobicool to use in our Monty 4 over the summer in France. I will be using gas as we don't do electric. We don't have a day/utility tent and we are not sure where to put it. Have heard it gets hot and thus should not be near tent walls. Worried about fumes and not sure about keeping it outside with the cooker as it will probably be very hot and will need a bit of shade.
No need to worry. We have run our combicool on gas in Autumn in the UK and 30 degrees plus in France and we put the fridge in the fron area of our tent near the side. You do get some heat from the "chimney" but not enought to melt anything above. There was no melting of damage going on below either and it was sitting on the groundsheet/floor of the tent.
