One good tip if you have a grill compartment is to buy a small cheap baking tray (like the ones for making swiss rolls) and use the grill compartment to keep food warm as you cook it. (Sausages, bacon, that sort of thing.) You can pre heat the compartment using the grill burner, switch it off and the space stays warm using the downward heat from the other burners. My small tray cost 99p from the Tesco Value range.

The Camping Chef gets my vote.  I reversed a Renault Scenic over ours and it still works!

All the Argos outlets in a 20 mile radius of me are OUT OF STOCK!!

Guess I'll have to get one from barretts of Feckenham, they had a fair bit of stock a few weeks ago. UNless I can get an older version of ebay for a tenner or so.

I have tried Argos within a 100 mile radius without any luck for past few weeks so will have to get elsewhere.  Keeping a look out on Ebay also however the postage doesn't make it so much of a bargin then.

I only look for items like that on Ebay that are local pickup, but they are always miles and miles away from me :(

It helps if the bread slices are dry before toasting, moist slices are not very good at toasting when using an low powered grill.

Hey ty for the responses ... I couldn't find an Argos with the cooker in stock either ...grrrrr.

What about this one from Argos too ... (lol no i don't have shares in argos)

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0196275.htm

I guess I would have to buy a regulator and hose for this one ... Is there a specific type I should be looking for, knowing my luck i'll end up with a regulator that only fits on very expensive gas or something ... Please help me avoid this if poss :o)

The only differnece with that item compared to the other one is that the grill is 100W more in power.

The type of regulator you need depends on the type of gas bottle you use. Regs are only about £6ea, low pressure pipe is about £1 per meter.

There's plenty more retailers seling the Campingaz Camping Chef for the about the same money.

If your in the midlands, pop along to Barretts outdoor store, I was in their main outlet in Feckenham, Worcs. a few weeks ago and they had loads of them in for £36.

We have a Sunngas grillmaster too and it's fab for cooking on the burners but boy does it take a long time to cook sausages under the grill. So last time we took our George Foreman grill and everything was ready in minutes!

Hmm ... Not sure how much use I'd give a stove after going away for a couple of days this week. I bought an EHU and then saw a small kettle and toaster in woolies for a fiver each ... the kids asked me to take the toasted sandwich maker and I'm now being pestered for a George Foreman Grill. all i need is something to warm up my beans and I'm sorted.
