Just a cautionary note, make sure that the SatNav does not have radar speed trap detector capability, particularly if you intend using it on the continent, as the fine and possible seizure of the kit for possession, will outweigh any "bargain" you might have bought.

I've been using my TomTom for 18 months or more.

I don't use the TomTom speed cameras, instead I opted for the http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/ ones - basically this used to be a free service, but now it's £2 for a months worth of camera downloads - and if you can find one that isn't listed you get free downloads for life :)   There's gatso's, temporary locations, average speed cams, etc etc. And if you grab some of the audible alerts you get "Warning! Gatso ahead, speed limit 60 mph" read out to you at a given distance from any cameras.

Also worth mentioning is the TomTom traffic alerts... via your bluetooth phone will do its best to alert you to, and route you around, any known traffic problems.

And if your mate has a TomTom you can set each other up as "buddies" and locate their position on the map :)

I got a Tomtom One from Tesco, which with points vouchers you can find on the internet, worked out at about £127!
