Rob Orr, we are all entitled to our opinions. Mine are based on actual experience, and I am sure you would not expect me to change my mind on another's say so. If I was dissatisfied with the pegs I now use, I would have changed them.
I can assure you that these blue tops of the pegs I now use are not a simple plastic. They are of some form of composite material that is extremely strong, and will outlive the life of the screws, which can be cheaply replaced.
I have met one of the designers of these peg-tops and, from the information confided to me, I am not surprised at the superior service that I am getting from them.
