Been considering getting one of these for my 2 year old daughter as she's very small for her age, and I wan't to minimise the chance of cold air pockets forming as we'll be camping in Scotland before the summer, so there will be a good chance of it getting a bit chilly.

She also has her First Ready Bed that she loves. Will be trying to get my hands on a fleece sleepsuit.

We are intending to have a few camping trips in June, July and August in the UK.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what a 2 year old should sleep in and on? Can you buy tiny sleeping bags suitable for the outside and do I purchase a single air bed? Currently he is still in a cot and a 'grobag'.

Thank you for any help.

Caroline

You can buy all the tiny bags you want, but I 'd rather suggest a proper pyjama because kids tend to move a lot during the night. He's likely to sleep with you under the sheets, so you'll be in charge anyway. You should use a sleeping bag underneat, to insulate from the cold and humidity coming from the ground: that's the critical bit.

Hi I agree with the ready bed idea.  We have had one for the past three years my son is now 5 and it's still going strong.  He calls it his holiday bed and we take it whenever we go away from home even if we're not camping as it is familiar and he sleeps really well. We did buy the adult single so he didn't feel too constricted but that is definitely a matter of choice. we got ours from argos for £15.  Hope this helps.
