Hi

I have a cabanon mistral trailer tent so my focus pulls that,  then we have a roof box and then we have the dog in the boot the 3 kids in the back and OH in the passenger seat. And the kids want to know why we can't fit the bikes on the car!!!

Having said that I manages quite well as long as we distribute the weight evenly and have a run up fot big hills!!!

Off on sunday to Northumberland and can't wait

Grampian, dont you take your roofbox off when on hols as it badly increases fuel consumption? Ours just gets locked up with a chain to a fence or hedge or EHU post.

Vauxhall Zafira with bars and box. Carries everything including the 3 kids, the dog, the OH and all our gear. However, I remember the days when we had a Diahatsu Charade. We still managed all our gear into it. Dont know how though!!

I've got a Renault Scenic but there's only three of us, so I can put down two of the back seats.  First camping trip next Saturday, so I've not tested it so far, but looking at the pile of equipment I've got already (takes up about a third of the dining room), I'm having doubts as to whether I'll be able to fit it all in.

Might have to see if I can get hold of a second hand double-decker from somewhere and go on holiday 'a-la-Cliff'.

We just got a Galaxy today. 5 seats in back and all can be removed/folded down ( only 2 kids in back ) as soon as we got it I thought ' hmmm camping ' hehe
Like has been said, I will find other things to make it packed again lol.

We have a 1954 VW Beetle with a trailer and I can recommend this outfit for camping travels. It happily carts our Vermont L, fridge, toilet, beer/wine, 3 adults, large dog and everything bar the kitchen sink wherever we want to go!
