I have to admit over the years we've had a mixed bag of bbbqs, and even disposable ones have their uses!
I think the main reason we didn't go for the b & q one is that we couldn't help comparing it to our very first bbq, which was I think the same beast in a previous incarnation. We've still got it in the shed after 20 years, tho we don't use it unless need extra back-up for big family dos. It was just as foldy-uppy, but by comparison just didn't feel the current one had the same build quality. Fingers crossed for the ebay one!

we have one like the x but with different shaped legs, its great and we've used it a few times, it folds flat and has its own bag and takes up hardly any room

Saw these awhile back....don't know how good they are but for the price

We have one of those: though basic it works well and you can't beat the price! The cooking area is about the same size as the X shaped one, it takes up slightly more packing space (tho its still tiny: less than the size of a couple of disposibles, but its much lighter than the fold flat bbq so its good for people like us who no only have to worry about space, but also weight. Only bought it this year so don't know how it will stand up long term, but at that price I'm not all that bothered if I have to replace it.

We have the same one as asap (but ours has higher sides on it). We've only used it a couple of times and it worked just fine (we always burn everything anyway!).Friend of mine suggested it as you can chuck a couple of logs on and use it for a fire after you bbq if the campsite allows.

The BBQ has sides but they have been folded away to get a bit more heat out of the embers.

Very similar to the one I got from Ebay - it arrived today and has even got a couple of tools clipped into the lid! Not sure how long it will last, but it seems well made and is just so flat when folded, won't take up any (non-existent!) space at all.

We have the x notebook. Used it all last year - about 20 trips. We used it when we were camping on New Years Eve and in the snow if Feb this year. Absolutely fabulous. Only recommendation is to find something to put underneath as the ash sometimes spills out onto the grass. We don't want to upset our site managers, do we?!

I have a similar BBQ and I put tin foil on the bottom grill to stop embers spilling out
