OH feels the cold more than most  due to her MS, its easier to turn one off or down than try to find a way to warm her up if she gets cold , hopefully we will never have to use the two of them but better to be safe than sorry, for the extra £30 its worth the peace of mind.

Used mine over the last couple of nights to top up a colder room. In the confines of the tent I am sure it is going to be just what we need.

I can't see me keeping it on whilst trying to sleep as although it is quieter than other fan heaters I have used, I can be kept awake by the ticking of a watch! Funny though the wind and rain noises or other countryside sounds have the total opposite effect.

Have bought one of these today after reading all the posts. Mine has a UK plug and is rated 750W/1500W.

They are £19.95 in the yeomans concession shop within Blooms garden centre near Quedgely, Gloucester. They have a few left if anyone's interested.

Hopefully will keep us warm during Easter.

One thing to note regarding the Outwell M......periodically clean out the plastic gauze filter in the rear. It's does collect dust and by removing it now and again, no doubt will help to attain maximum life of the heater. Simply remove the rear cover using the two lugs, extract the gauze and brush off.

I got mine at the start of last seaon and used it in -4 degrees in March......glad I did

Also used it when our gas fire packed up over Christmas in the house

They arn't totally silent but they arn't obtrusively noisey either. Great piece of kit IMO
