I didn't have this problem with our cadac carri chef deluxe,

we used ours for a 2 week holiday then a further 4 night break and noticed when putting away that ander the large blue bowl bit, the main piece it was black and the paint work bubbling, we contacted Riversway leisure immediately who dealt with cadac on my behalf, a brand new part was sent with no cost to me.

Update on our yellow flame problem, I contacted Cadac UK and explained the problem, the very helpful lady has informed me that they will send out a new stem and tripod legs to replace our existing stem with the blue insert.
Looking forward to receiving the replacement, well done to Cadac's Customer Service!

My CADAC Eazi Chef problems investigation results in;

The replacement is not the solution, but a workaround.

Apply a collar of acrylic 'painters' adhesive (in French: acrylic mastic) around the tripod post tubing

where it enters the blue gas burner pan socket and smear it off smoothly and professionally against the burner pan entry socket..

Herewith you close the 'false draft' channel' which prevents the gas burner from

building enough and correct underpressure around the nozzle in the venturi system.

Result: Perfectly controllable pointed blue flame at the burner, no more backflame.

Highly effective combustion.

In Dutch: Trek in BBQ.

FYI: The correct text is 'Acrylic sealant'.

Correction by 'Trek in BBQ' :

The words 'false draft'should be read as 'false draught' as used in the description of chimney problems.

Look forward for the YouTube video 'The CADAC legend', to be published

August 15, 2011. This video is in postproduction situation. It deals with a workaround solution for most and/or all the CADAC EAZI Chef problems, as discussed in worldwide forums.

It proofs (among others) that the brand of gas used is not the negative factor, as long     as                   it is Camping Gaz quality.

The videofilm 'The CADAC legend' has been successfully recorded.

During filming we tested the temperature at 1 1/2 cm above the grill surface.

.> 300 degrees Celsius measured with the calibrated barbecue probe of the

Maverick ET 732. After our gastight modification of the

coupling tripod-stem <> burner pan..       .......... 572 degrees Fahrenheit.
