You are very lucky Mike. I sent an email with the photos put on earlier and so far have not even received an acknowledgement.

Were BD previously always HW poles ? If so then I would think they should specify that they are now SW when you purchase them. I thought that was what you were paying for, hard wood I mean. It would be easier to just buy 5 replacement hardwood poles and make your own.

I also have an oragon 5, i bought a vango large canopy in the yeomans sale last year for £30. It fits quite well and i am happy with it. We use it for cooking in. I was suprised how much extra space this gave us.

Hope this helps

If you go to an old fashioned diy/hardware store not B&Q etc you can buy the poles at 5,6 or 7ft for only a couple of quid each.

Is the quality worth the price? I can buy 3 of the stripey nylon things for the price of one of these.

Isn't it a chore to go round and check all the guylines on these? The reason I ask is at the last site we went to there was a guy with co-ordinated windbreak for his Monty and he swore every morning when he went round checked and tightened the ropes.

Need to know if these Blue Diamond ones are plastic (which we don't want 'cos they make too much noise in the wind)or the more traditional cotton/fabric, i.e. quieter type. Can anybody help please? Ta

blue diamond windbreaks are cottony type material, not the plasticky ones so not as noisy.

Blue Diamond are simply the best and last years.

that may have been the case in years past but not so now, i looked at some 5 pole and 7 pole windbreaks today in go outdoors and they had very poor quality poles

the poles were softwood and where the pole had been machined to add the steel tips the pole was very thin and this is why I suspect people are having poles break at the tip

I was going to buy two five pole windbreaks but they were rubbish and not worth the money they were charging s they stayed on the shelf

the poles on the cheapy sunncamp windbreaks were better quality than the ones on the blue diamond
