I have outwell and sunncamp tents with hi vis green /yellow guys. I've never tripped over them yet, not sure if they are glow in the dark or not, never thought to look. But I dont really wander around outside the tent in the dark much either.
but the grandkids just walk straight into them in broad daylight !.
I haven't got glow worms myself btw.
My kiddies would probably think they were very pretty and just nick them off the ropes.

Good idea about the silver reflector bits on the work jackets though, they sell these in poundland .

...and us, it's fantastic isn't it and so rare these days. I suspect we're in the minority though and most commercial sites have a much higher level of light at night.

When my son was little he used to love trotting to the loos in the pitch black. I think he found it sort of scary and fun at the same time. He used to trott along whispering, 'spooooky, mind the guys....spooooky, mind the guys' and so on!

We also use sites with no light pollution and it really is amazing - trouble is I tend to stay outside looking for shooting stars too long - I love being outside on a site like that at night when there is no one around - magical.

Have to say, the only guys we trip over tend to be our own - we give others a wide berth! I think the odd, twang, ugghh, thud, is part of our camping experience!!!

Accidents will always happen at some point. & sometimes we forget that small children tend to look where they are heading, rather than looking where they are going. Mind you, they are less likely to be out in the hours of darkness.

Only one of our 4 children tripped over a guy rope once in all the time we've been camping! And we have a bell tent with guys all over the place!

This time we had solar powered fairy lights round the door, which helped with nighttime loo trips.

However, for anyone who does find that tripping over guy ropes at night is a problem, I found these just now:
