It's up to everyone how they do it TV or not.
Personally never, ever can I see us with a TV. We go camping ot get away from everything. We Sky+ what we miss!
My only gripe is thought, it is annoying when people have their TVs on loudly with their caravan doors open.
But apart from that each to their own as we all go away for different reasons.

I have two children (7&9) and we always take a laptop to watch a DVD when they go to bed. They don't watch much TV at home, and they certainly don't miss it when we are camping, but then again some of you may think that watching a DVD is too much! We camp often and for long stints, and one of the things that my two love about camping are the things they can get away with that they can't do at home. Things like eating those sugery breakfast cereals that come in small multipacks, wrestling in the bedroom pods, coming and going as they please...and yes! laying snugg in their beds at night watching a DVD and sipping hot chocolate. They have never seen a full movie yet, as they always turn over and fall straight to sleep about half an hour in - they are usually exhausted from the day spent outside doing whatever in the fresh air! But for me it's a great way to wind them down, and I always get great pleasure from sitting for a while just watching them sleep so soundly with the trace of a contented smile on their little faces. You can't tell me there is anything wrong with this!

PS: Last camp we had to take a small LCD TV/DVD combi as my laptop screen was acting up, and my DH won't let the kids near his. I must say it worked out better as it was less faffing and the picture was obviously better, does this make it more of a crime . And as a side note we never have it on loud or late, in fact I always do a recci around the outside of the tent to make sure it isn't disturbing anyone.
