It's like most of these so called "Green Taxes" & stuff like unleaded petrol & the scrappage scheme, they're all either money making schemes for the government & their "close friends" or badly researched by so called "green activists". Like the green party calling for the lead to be taken out of petrol, which actually did more harm to the enviroment than to just leave it in there! & this scrappage scheme! Which we're supposed to believe is for the benefit of the environment??? Not for the benefit of the car industry then???? (Course not!)
Did you know the carbon footprint for the production of a Toyota Prius (hateful car) is far greater than that of a Landrover Discovery??? Yet we're supposed to believe all these celebrities driving round in them are doing the planet some good.

Okay, okay, NOW we're officially off topic. As you can probably guess, I don't suffer this hippy nonsense gladly.

Rant over. Good quality solar panels with good quality charge systems = good addition to camping equipment.

You see....this is the thing.....the FITs are a green scam. Us without PV panels, are paying those with PV panels through our electricity bills. And what we're paying you for is one of the most inefficient forms of electricity production known to man. It has been dubbed "the reverse Bobin Hood scam" or something to that effect.

Get yourself some panels then !!!!! but don't knock us with them, must be doing some good. My electric bill for the last 1/4 was £35

My electric bill for the last quarter was something like £300....cos I had to pay for your solar panels! Did you know.....the FITs scheme is shifting £8.6bn (that £8,600,000,000.00) from normal customers to those with FITs subsidised PV systems. On this, the government is expecting a loss on the scheme of £8.2bn (or 95%)....probably going to those who are exploiting the FITs scheme. Money all being chucked away on promoting something so inefficient.... Odd.

HOWEVER.....I am seriously considering a PV installation here. Problem is, while there is some guarantee that the FIT will be paid at the high level for 25 years....there have been murmurings that they may be reduced....so in two minds at the moment. The solar hot water just makes more sense.

Sorry but my bill of £35 was for the units I used from the Green fosil burning grid, the rest was from my very UNGREEN hugely Gov subbed Solar, you keep paying, I'll keep making.
