Not on the brenderup , it forms the main chassis.

We also have the Brenderup 1150s with side panels and ABS lid, purchased last year from the Redcap Garage in Blackburn. We previously used an ERDE 102 with high extension. Very impressed with the Brenderup but I have one reservation for those wanting anything bigger than the 1150s and that is weight. The bigger the trailer the more you will put in it, no problem moving the trailer when un-hitched on a nice flat road but on a lumpy wet grass campsite it can be an effort if you have to move the trailer. Additionally, if like our drive at home which slopes to the road it can run away from you if you are not ready for it. Basically I don't think that we would want anything heavier. Just a thought.

We've got an Erde 142 at the moment, but thinking about upgrading to a Brenderup 1205 - haven't been able to find one in the flesh to look at (apart from the one at FForest Fields over Easter and no-one was ever around for us to ask about it!)..

at DK - were those taken at Birchwood?! Love that site :)

Yup, Birchwood indeed, and I am going back there in early June, can't wait!

And no, the A frame cannot be taken apart.

I'm thinking of going for something not small whatever that means...so that I don't have to get the side extensions. I'd like to put bikes on the top so a small trailer with extension sides, ABS lid and bikes on the top would be too tall.

Pants.. been talking hubby into getting a bigger trailer and the Brenderup has been top of my list, but as we're limited on space in our garage storage is a huge issue for us.

We can take the towing arm off the Erde and store it on its end under a covered area in the side of our house. With the a-frame bar it won't fit..

Back to the drawing board then .. *sob*

Resurrecting this...

Having this very same dilemma myself. Have been offered and pretty good deal on an ex hire 1205s 3 months old and used twice.....comes with side extensions, hard flat top and gallery bars, spare wheel and jockey wheel. Have seen pics and its mint.

But measured it out today and with a tape measure and the size is scary big....

As i've just got a bell tent stove etc, part of me thinks this will be ideal and needed.

Then part of me think JESUS thats big, do i need all that space.

Storage wise....i need to check but think i can get creative and will be able to fit this in the garage.

Why do i have to overthink things
