Thank you rayovlight, that's one I hadn't even come accross! Will bear it in mind for next time. It was a little above my price range for this time but I Will bear it in mind for next time.
My dozers arrived last week and they are now living (flat) under our bed. So far so good, the fabric is lovely and soft which I like and they felt very comfy.
Interestingly, we stayed with my father this weekend and he gave me one of our old thermarests from 10 years ago and an unused mountain equipment, simply named "traditional self-inflating mat" that he had in his loft. The latter was unopened and had a £40 price tag, no idea how long ago it was bought. I now have lots to compare and promise to report back when we have tried them all out in april.
Went for some Gelert Expedition Xl 10cm from Outdoorworld in the end. £33 each including delivery plus 10% cashback from Quidco. Ordered late last night and already got a Fedex tracking number.
Hope they live up to the reviews so far. Another site claiming to price match baulked at beating the £33 price, they had them at £74 each and said they couldn't even attempt to match.
Delivery in under 36 hours for free, £6 cashback tracked. So 2 x10cm SIMS for £60....and had a 'go' on them yesterday evening and found them really comfy. Adnmittedly they need teh full outdoors test yet but I'm seriously impressed by them already. Lot easier to fold back up than I expected and everything.
I was looking at the Galert 10cm ones, is there any way you could link them together like other makes Jake? Was thinking of for extra space for me alone and for when I have lil one with me.

There isn't anything on them to connect out of the box, but I think it would be relatively easy to stick either velcro on them or, I think there are some pictures on one of these SIM threads where someone had made a cover by sewing two blankets together and then having the 2 single SIM inside that which worked at keeping them together
Thanks, ive thought that when me and lil one need to share a pod have them like a double or if I want more room. On solo bad pain days I could have 1 on top of other for a bit more padding. Im getting lil one a quechua sleepin bed with its own SIM so she will be fine whatever.

Ha! That is a bit offputting, eh?! We've got one of the earlier Thermarest Couple Kits (without the buckle) and it's okay. Although, to be fair, we just put the Thermarests into fleecy sleeping bag liners and then pop a fitted sheet over the top, find they don't move about at all.
Check on here for older threads about the Adventure XL 10cm, as I seem to recall somewhere was selling them for around £28 each with free carriage if you spent over £50 (ie about £56 ish for two, but can't remember where!).
A while ago we got a double multimat from yeomans for £40 down from £90, we haven't been away with it yet but have tried it on the living room floor and was very comfy.
For the kids we got outwell sims which were down to under £10 each and they LOVE them. My little girl is called Rosie and that is what the type is called so has her name on!!! She was well chuffed with that one! Does only work if your daughter called Rosie though lol. That was a great day for bargains!!
