Think i'm just going to get four metal poles that will slide into the four legs and stop when they hit the curve of the leg, going to raise it by just over double, going to have a play this weekend.

I did this with an old hammock frame...
Usually I use this metal plate underneath though (sits on the metal poles) - cost £5 in comet in the sale, its a steel cooker splashback
I also caught myself driving past Dunelm yesterday and the last firepit happened to fall into my trolley! Looks very good value for money - with all it's racks and a poker thingy and a bag. Can't wait to try it out!
I'm really disappointed as called in to Dunelm yesterday and the fire pit looked really good, but its now £29.99, also I wasn't sure about the black coating - does it burn off?
Yes, I had to go back for something and noticed they were back up to £29.99
Ours has been used a few times now - the black has not burnt off (yet!)
Noticed Next now do a firepit complete with tripod for £35! Next Tripod
