yep it looks the same but capacity and temp are listed slightly different made by the same people so fantastic quality and i dont suppose 2 litres difference capacity really makes much difference

its brilliant i just went and checked mine adn its been plugged in for 90 minutes and its lovely and cold im very very impressed for the price

On the towsure website, it gives the size as being aprox. 30L. Also, in the manual for the one from Aldi, it says it cools to 18 degrees below ambient, instead of the stated 17 degrees below on the piece of paper on the outside of the box. The dimensions are exactly the same for both. Bargain either way. I've just called my sister in Blackpool to let her know, so she'll be picking one up in the morning before she heads off on holiday for a week.

Mobicool U32 specifications:

Product      Gross capacity      Colour
U32 DC Thermoelectric Cooler      approx. 30 litres      Metallic blue

Voltage      12 V DC
Insulation      High quality foam core (K-Iso system)
Cooling unit      4 A peltier cell with 12 V feed, cooling max. 18°C below ambient temperature
Quality features      Carrier handle serves to either fix or support the lid, cable compartment in lid, fits 2-litre bottles standing, double fan system
Dimensions (L x W x H)/weight      39.6 x 29.6 x 44.5 cm / 4.0 kg

They're having a laugh...

Can I just ask those who have bought one, does the fan have a fairly loud hum on yours? I was expecting it to make some noise of course but theres no way we could sleep with this running.

The top fan is the noisy one whereas the one inside the box is nice and quiet.

Well thank you. As soon as I saw your post got the kids dressed and went to aldi I'm absolutely delighted with the price it's been plugged in for 10 mins and lovely and cold. The fan is noisy I wonder are they all this noisy?

It does make a bit of an hum, has I suppose all these type of cool boxes do?, but haven’t had one before to compare it against. Perhaps someone who has had “say an Outwell one” and this one could give you (us) the answer?

It's very good at getting down to temp but it will take some time to chill something. Anyone know why?

It does hum a little but tbh nothing that bothers us at all. We've had ours for 2 years now and I think its brilliant.

My Dad has been into Aldi this morning and bought two for their summer trips and they dont appear any different to our 2 yr old one.

For a family of 4 it will comfortably fit a 4pinter of milk upright, butter/spread, yogurts, salad, coleslaw, cheese, ham, bacon, sausages, meat for bbq, and of course for the evening,a couple of beers!

However I wouldnt stuff it full as it needs the cool air to circulate to keep it cool.

And hold a peice of kitchen towel under the internal fan as you open the lid as water can drip down onto your food

They arent designed to chill, they dont refrigerate, they just keep cold foods cool. Its the same with all electric coolboxes.

For £35 you can't go wrong, picked one up from the Manchester Ancoats store, they had loads, and guess who as a shop above the Alidi, yes GoOutdoors!.

Plugged the cooler into the cars 12v socket straight away, and it soon got down to +7DegC not bad considering I only had a sarnie and bottle of orange juice in the unit, so will be interesting to see how it does when full.

I bought one today from our local store. They had quite a few left, probably at least a dozen. I picked up their brochure with the offers in it and was surprised to see that a comment from this forum was quoted in the coolbox write up. Would be interesting to see who the author was!
