Last year we got rid of our air bed for this reason.... me being cold, i had to go to bed with on the air bed 2 blankets then a sheet, then my sleeping bag with 2 blankets plus pjs, hoody, bed socks even brought my winter woolly hat to put on the lot then still cold & putting all the beach towels over the top,
Half way through our 2 weeks last August I found a little camp shop with a double camp bed for sale ( really great price) with SIMs (7.5) well that night I went to bed with my usual outfits, blankets etc well 20 mins blankets off, hoody off, socks off, this year we went away in May I only went to sleep in my short pjs and socks until my feet waned up, defiantly nothing to do with our sleeping bag which cost us very little from Tescos

Well having not found a folding camper and not long til we go away, I thought about buying a new air bed as the one we have we've had about 10 years! Still good nick, but with a iffy back, I don't find it so comfy now. My sister purchased a Coleman dual chamber one, I enquired and she said it was about £35, which considering we're probably in a tent for the last time this year, seems a bit of a large buy. Went in Tesco the other day and they have some decent flocked air beds at half price, £7.50 for a double! I thought it was worth a punt, not dual chamber, but still, longer than our old one where our feet hung off the end, they just touch the end on this! http://www.tesco.com/direct/tesco-flocked-double-air-bed/100-0407.prd?pageLevel=&s........
I have also been given advice which was very welcomed from my sister. She puts a picnic blanket under the air bed, as do I although mine is foiled backed, puts a blanket as we do over the air bed and puts on inflatable pillows from Wilko on each side (only £1.50 each) http://www.wilko.com/camping-equipment-and-essentials/wilko-ergo-flocked-pillow-48........, then puts a double sheet over the whole thing. Brilliant, we'd not thought of doing that, and in a morning or the middle of the night, the bed has slipped on the picnic blanket, the blanket has slipped off the bed and I find one pillow not enough but don't really have room for 2! Can't wait to try it out, plus the air bed is higher than ours, looks luxury lol!!
