I think you miss the point.

When off grid there is often nowhere to get ice! It could be 30 or so miles (and that could take 90 minutes plus - each way in somewhere like parts of Wales/Scotland/Northumberland/Cornwall) to a supermarket, really not a practical move at all.

Thumbs up on the 3 way. FIT FOR PURPOSE. We're not EHU users ourselves but giving it a bash shortly in Paignton as non EHU pitches at site are sloping. Purchased a 240v EHU and looking forward to a night heater, and using our Dometic on 240v for a change. Our RC1200 worked fine in recent hot weather (35 ish) with butter staying solid and beer being cold JOB DONE. Don't forget as previously mentioned to pre chill before loading fridge up as works so much better. We do not use the 12v in transit but have bought a 12v-230v inverter from Scr ewfix and then use 240v reroute and gives better results. Enjoy life without ice packs lol
