Hi

We brought one of these yesterday green light came on saying it was charged straight away so we plugged in a 12volt 8" tv just to try it and it lasted 5.5 hours we then still had picture but the sound went. We were very impressed are going to try it this weekend as we are unable to get EHU too! Can't say about cool boxes though. All in all with think for 14.99 its a fab little buy.

Well we got one of the Power cube's yesterday and reading the manual it says something about running coolbox's, have a look at this picture I got from the manual:

So it depends on the Amps that your coolbox uses, but most don't last long on these Power Cubes, or normal car batteries even.

Ok one post very close to another, but im here to help (a little)

Yes it can be charged from a Cigarette ligher in a car, you should of got a cable in the box the Power Cube came in. But remember its better to charge it up while the car is moving so you don't drain your battery too much

I drained 2 power packs in a weekend ,with the cooler box.I will be going back to ice pacs,  someone gave me a small wheelchair battery, been using it for about 8 years now, it lasts well over a week for tv and lights and charging phones, must admit though I was tempted in lidle, gave myself a slap, coz I really didn`t need it.

To charge the Power Cube in you car, plug the cigarette lighter plug into the cigarette socket in your car. Then plug the other end of the lead into the back of the Power Cube (where you would plug the one you put into the mains)

Heres a diagram...

Hope this helps

Now we bought one of these from Lidl last year to power the water pump in the trailer tent.
Just been away for the first time since last July, and this thing still had its charge - enought to run the water pump and a small florecent light, despite being left in the tent for best part of a year.    We were very surprised, as we expected it to be flat/pancaked etc etc.

It is woth checking all yout local Lidl's there were still a few left in moine the other day.  i think it very much depends on where the store is sited as to whether camping gera is popular or not..

I got one and they are great. Our local Lidl still has them. I used it at length over the bank holiday and it never ran down. Highly recommended.
