No I think it is discontinued. I have still had no response to my emails of camping-online. I have emailed them again today and also been held in long queues on the telephone. I suppose it could be that they are closed for the festive holidays.
Igloo in the US have sent me an email telling me that it is under guarantee for 2years from date of purchase. So I have just sent an email back to them asking if they will replace it from there or do they have a UK contact. Also if it is discontinued I can only presume that they will replace it with the next equivalent. Just so annoying that I have almost spent £100 and its broken on the 2nd use.

HI SORRY NOT RESPONDED SOONER ON THE 12VOLT LIGHTER PLUG AT THE TIP IS A METAL PIECE THIS SHOULD MOVE IN AND OUT ON A SPRING ALSO CHECK THE FUSE THERE AS WELL BY UNSCREWING THE TIP PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN CHECKED

ALSO KOOLMATE 40 IS DISCONTINUED NOW BUT WE ARE DOING 5 DIFFERENT FRIDGES FROM FEB/MARCH

WE ARE DOING A , 35LT 3 WAY FOR AROUND £109.99, A 42LT FOR AROUND 119.99, ALSO 2 X FREEZERS AND A NEW 12VOLT COOLER

Hi Kevin,

I checked the fuse and it had indeed blown, so I bought a new one yesterday, however I left the Igloo on overnight and when I got up this morning that had also blown.

hi again reason could be that plug is not pushed in hard enough as this would cause a spark to jump and somtimes bops the fuse also did the end tip move in and out freely

SO have the Kool Mate 40's now been totally discontinued? If so, its a shame as they were good. If they have been discontinued, what can someone recommend? similiar size etc? any responses back much appreciated.

Hi Yes it has been discontinued but has been replaced by an updated version.  Just to add that the problem with ours was a faulty power pack.  I actually had a call from Igloo in the states who gave me a contact here in the UK and they sent me a new power pack free of charge.  Would highly recommend this cooler.

Hi, Mufc7, can you let me know who the contact here in the UK was please, as it was my power pack that blew up yesterday. The motor is a bit noisy on the koolmate 40 now, but if I can get hold of spares that would be great. Any info back much appreciated. I have to get some hinges about 12 months ago, but I can't find the supplier now in the UK. Anyway, any info back about your contact would be great. Many thanks
