What can I say, I may have just found the perfect in car kettle, this little XIAOMI kettle works perfectly with my Aldi 300w MSW inverter.
Filled it with 400ml cold water, and it took 5 mins to reach a rolling boil, and then auto shut off just after.
The kettle comes with a C5 Cloverleaf lead, as used with some laptops etc, the lead is terminated with a moulded Chinese plug, but comes with a UK adapter, although I already have C5 leads terminated with UK and Schuko moulded plugs.

Thought I would just add that on my Mercury 600w PSW 230v inverter the kettle draws 30amps at 12.6v and shows on my meter at 323watts, the kettle works fine with my Aldi 300w MSW inverter although at 27amps as it is a resistive load not inductive, but I would probably advise that a 400watt Pure Sine Wave inverter would be a better match.

For anyone thinking of getting the XIOMI MIUI kettle, just be aware that it’s Max fill line for boiling is 281ml whilst the capacity of the vessel is 405ml some buyers have complained thinking it could boil 400ml as the kettle is advertised as 400ml.
To be fair 281ml is fine for me, if nothing else it will reach a quicker boil time than 400ml, not by much admittedly.
280ml is enough for two small tea cups, or one med mug, and certainly plenty for one of my Soba Nissin pot noodles, and enough to fill my 300ml Snow Peak double wall titanium brew mug.
Been giving the kettle lots of tests with my cheapo Aldi inverter 300w MSW inverter, which gets 281ml cold water to a boil in 6 minutes max, and uses just under 3% of my 120ah leisure battery capacity, using hot water from my flasks gets a rolling boil in about one minute, which is fantastic.
After 6 minutes use the inverter shows no sign of over heating, I have upgraded the power 70cm supplied cables from 12awg to 8awg 70cm length using 10mm2 HI-FLEX cable, slight overkill with a 70amp rating, when the load is just 30amp fused with 40amp MIDI Fuse.

My final word on this 12v kettle solution, with the Xiaomi kettle only being 300w I can power it via the tiny Aldi inverter directly of my car battery.
I have installed at the car battery 8awg cable bolted to the battery terminals, c/w 40 amp midi fuse holder, and Anderson SB50 socket outlet.
So no faffing about with crocodile clips, I can just simply plug the Aldi inverter into the Anderson socket.
Then I trail a 2m lead 1.5mm rubber extention, into the car and the Xiaomi kettle plugs into that in the car, I just keep the engine running for the 5 minutes it takes the kettle to boil, job done perfection.
The great thing now is that I no longer have to lug my 26kg 120Ah battery box c/w 600watt PSW inverter in and out of the car.
In fact the battery box is going solar, and I will be adding a 200watt solar panel and MPPT solar charger controller, also the battery box will be shedding 10kg when it goes from SFLA to LiFeP04 when funds permit.
The Aldi inverter has a hard life ahead, as it will always be running in the red, if only for a couple of minutes each day, so I will be keeping my eyes out for an equally tiny inverter 400watt or maybe 500watt for the car situation, but definitely Pure Sine Wave that’s for sure.
