Hi erroutdoors.

We use walkman type earphones with the system, also it uses regular "AA" batteries or rechargeables if you choose.

My main use at camp, is for radio via the satellite system, so the TV is not even on for those times, just the satellite receiver feeding the transmitter, which lets me wander around the campsite listening to  BBC R4 or whatever, which is great when your in the South of France.

Andy.

So you all sit round with headphones on, how do you talk? We wouldn't use them ad the point of camping for us is spending quality time together, sitting with headphones on not talking is not my idea of spending time.

Do you talk in the cinema, or when watching a movie at home?

You can still open your mouth, they just go on your ears, and are easily removed.

....and that's fine, you don't have to agree with how others spend their camping trips (or their lives in general) as long as they are not inflicting their tastes on you.

I wouldn't camp in a lot of the ways that I see others camping and I know that most people wouldn't camp in the way we do - it doesn't matter though, we can all do what we want as long as we don't inflict it on others.    So the TV/DVD watching or radio/music listening that can be heard from the next pitch is "bad" but TV/DVD watching or radio/music listening that can't be heard outside the pitch is nobody else's business!

Everyone has their own view but it's not us to judge what others do unless it effects us.

I think you just summed it up exactly. Surely everyone must feel this is fair comment?
