Doesn't the ASDA website give the dimensions? I'm not 100% (need to find a bed sales person!) but I think in ordinary beds a Queen is 5' wide; a double 4'6"; a king 5'6" and a super king 6'.
To be honest i don't really like airbeds, i much prefer campbeds with matresses and extra blankets. Much warmer and easier to get out of and put up because you don't have to pump them up it only takes 3 minutes. xxXXxx
we have a double height queen size it is def bigger than a double - it's great, i think that's more to do with the height though - you don't wake up in the morning with backache!!!!
Ive come away from airbeds this year, I'm trying camp beds with 5cm self inflating beds on top. Plus it gives more room in the bedroom, as the cases can go under the camp beds. Thats the theory.
How much more room do airbeds and mattresses etc take up though in the car? Does anyone have links to good ones as I am fed up with back ache when camping.
Hi Mint - when we were camping we used two single gelert air beds (with a velvet flock top) held together with a double fitted sheet - best nights sleep ever, we were warm, there was no roll together and my husband did not spend two weeks complaining that it was like sleeping on the north face of the eiger!!!

This might sound obvious but any one waking up with back ache whilst on air beds should try pumping up your air bed harder to prevent it. Im prone to back ache especially if i lie in for a while but have no problems as long as the air bed is fairly hard (but not too much!) Thats a good idea above, using a double fitted sheet. We do this then our double sleeping bag on top which is simply two singles zipped together and bobs your uncle. Like home from home, we love our camping air beds. We have some of our best nights sleep in our tent. LOVE IT !!!!!!! Roll on easter, Aberdovey here we come.........................
