Togs are measured in units of thermal resistance. For example, if a duvet had a tog rating of 4.5 then it would be more appropriate to be used in the summer months. At the other end of the scale, duvets with a tog rating of 13.5 or higher would be used in the colder months of the year.
summer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> winter
4.5 tog 6 tog 7.5 tog 9 tog 10.5 tog 12 tog 13.5 tog 15 tog
All i can say is it would probably be warm enough for me but then we are all different, my wife would be cold in a 15 tog in August, she takes an extra blanket, then again it depends on where your going, what is suitable for the south coast may not be as good in the Cairngorms
