I have just bought a campingaz chef with grill on E-bay and I assume I know I need a 407 gas canister but whatelse??

you'll need a hose and regulator too, can't help with the size of the regular tho, sorry

 if it didnt come with the hose and regulator that is. i have the same cooker, brought from new and it came with them. if not staff in camp shop will advise and they are inexpensive. have to say though the grill is rubbish, toast takes soooo long to cook you have to really really want it to bother waiting for it! other than that its fab!

You may have a problem with the grill. We have the same cooker and grill takes no time at all. We use a 907 bottle. Bought off ebay £6.00, bargain.

 oooh might do then? its always been like it and my friend has same prob with hers too, so presumed it was the grill?

actually we have problems with our grill too, it takes ages and doesnt grill evenly, though it's not a campingaz, will have to check the make

I can fit two rounds of bread under the grill on my Campingaz Camping Chef and it toasts fairly quickly - sometimes too quickly when I've got my back turned!!

anyone had experience cooking meat, ie sausages, bacon, chicken fillets etc under the grill? because we recently bought a campingaz grill cooker specifically to cook stuff like that. if it's naff i'm going to be really annoyed!

I've never cooked anything like that under the grill, never thought it would stand up to it  really, only thought it was good for toast and not strong enought for anything else.

  your local outdoor shop will help you with the hose and regulator, sizes etc

I wouldnt cook anything other than toast under the grill, would take far too long!

And risk of giving dodgy tummys to whole family.

Apart from that love the cooker loads!
